Print out this checklist to help you keep track of forms and deadlines during the admission process.
___ Attend a Discovery Day event to learn more about our programs, meet teachers, and have your questions answered, or call to arrange a private tour at your convenience.
___ Schedule a shadow visit for your child to experience a day at Glenelg Country School with a current student host.
___ Submit a completed Application, along with a $75.00 fee (or $125 for international students), by January 15. (Applications received after this date will be considered for rolling admission if space is available or for our wait pool.)
___ Register your child for the ISEE test (Independent School Entrance Exam), using the information provided in the ISEE test booklet for dates, locations and registration methods. (Please note that GCS will accept copies of SSAT results in lieu of ISEE testing. Additionally, high school students who have taken the PSAT and/or the SAT may submit those results in lieu of ISEE testing.)
___ If applying for financial aid, submit your financial aid application online through Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) at
www.tuitionaid.com by
January 31. GCS also accepts applications through School and Student Services (SSS) if you are applying to multiple schools, in which case it is not necessary to apply through TADS as well.
___ Submit the Student Record Release Form, the English/Language Arts Reference Form, the Mathematics Reference Form, and the Student Recommendation Form to your child’s current school with a stamped envelope addressed to the Admission Office of Glenelg Country School. Student records and Teacher References/Recommendations should be received by the Admission Office by January 31.
___ Submit copies of any academic test results or psycho-educational evaluations (including Weschler IQ test results if available) to Glenelg Country School. Please note that this information is NOT required for the admission process; however, if available, it may be helpful in determining whether GCS can meet your child’s needs.
___ Admission decisions are mailed out by February 15. Enrollment offers will be accompanied by an Enrollment Contract.
___ Contact us with any final questions or schedule a time to come and visit with us again to confirm your decision.
___ Return the completed Enrollment Contract, supplemental documents, and a non-refundable 10% deposit by March 8 (or the date designated on the contract) to secure your child’s space.
